Mazda 3 CKD Full Press Release

Today marks a highly significant milestone for the Mazda brand in Malaysia as Bermaz Motor Sdn. Bhd. launches the locally assembled Mazda3 since the very first Mazda3 model was introduced in 2003.

The availability of a locally assembled Mazda3 speaks volume for Mazda's confidence in the Malaysian market and its local business partners. It is a proud moment in Mazda's journey in Malaysia, and a major driving force for Mazda's further business growth in Malaysia.

The Mazda3 is a core model that helps enhance the Mazda brand and expand business. It is sold in over 100 countries with annual sales at about 440,000 units. The model accounts for one third of the total Mazda sales in the world. As a testimony to its all-round popularity, the car has won over 120 awards since its launch in 2003.

In Malaysia, over 2,000 units of Mazda3 have been delivered to the customers. The CKD programme for the all-new Mazda3 in Malaysia is the first in ASEAN.

The all-new Mazda3 began rolling out of the production line in January 2011 at the Inokom assembly plant in Kedah, where production is expected to be 3,000 units a year.

The Malaysian built Mazda3 will have the equivalent quality level of the CBU Mazda3 with the fullest cooperation of Mazda, whose production and engineering team worked closely with the plant staff at the Inokom factory.

The newly introduced Mazda3 is available in 4 variants, as a sedan as well as a sporty hatchback, in both 1.6L AT (103HP/144Nm) and 2.0L AT (145HP/182Nm) guises.

The all-new Mazda3 is touted to deliver “Thrice the Thrill”. It brings to the fore high levels of environmental performance and safety, coupled with a sporty and balanced driving experience. The car readily represents Mazda's "Sustainable Zoom-Zoom" philosophy. In either sedan or hatchback form, it is aesthetically expressive and dynamic in performance.

And with Bermaz's commitment to the brand, it makes for a joyful and stress-free car ownership. The all-new Mazda3 comes with a tantalising 3-year warranty.

Bermaz Motors launched the Mazda 3 CKD and Mazda 3 MPS!!

Bermaz Motors has just launched the range of CKD version of the Mazda 3 and also the powerful version of Mazda 3 MPS here at One Utama Petaling Jaya. The CKD version of Mazda 3 does not differ much from the CBU version in terms of trim levels but there is a new colour for the CKD version introduced here in Malaysia. Being CKD would mean the Mazda 3 received a tax incentive from the government thus the price will be attractive. The CKD version for 1.6litre sedan starts at RM99,374 with the hatchback at RM 104,653 and the 2 litre version sedan starts at RM119,374.50 and the hatchback version at RM120,274.50. For the powerful Mazda 3 MPS the price is RM179,895.20. More details will be up soon.Stay tune!!!

Geneva 2011 bound Koenigsegg Agera R!!!

A year ago Koenigsegg has unveiled the Agera at Geneva Motor Show, and this year, Koenigsegg will be unveiling the monster version of the Agera know as the Agera R. This new Agera R has seen an engine upgrade of 5 litres twin turbo V8 engine from the previous version of 4.7 litres twin turbo V8 and this new engine upgrade will be spitting out 1,099bhp and a shattering 1200Nm of torque but this can only happen when you use E85 bio fuel. Fuelling with a normal RON 95 petrol can only made the car pushing out 927bhp and 1,100Nm, not too shabby engine output from a lower grade fuel.

Besides this new engine, Koenigsegg also has worked out with Thule a Swedish roof rack manufacturer to create a custom carbon fiber roof box which can be permanently attached as a one piece to the roof panel or you can remove the roof box and attached the standard roof panel that will be stored in the trunk room of the car. Beside the roof rack, Koenigsegg also has work out with Michelin to develop a specially design tyre for the Agera R that can withstand a speed rating of up to 419km/h, the highest speed rated tires in the world. With all the power available to the engine, Koenigsegg also unveil that to further maximize the down force of the car, the car will be equipped with Vortex Generating Rim wheels that can generate a turbine effect which in turn generate the much needed down force.

Spyshot of KIA K9 caught on the streets of South Korea!!

Looks like the Korean are getting the upper hand over its Japanese rivals with the launch of many exciting new models with a much appealing design that needs to be shouting out loud. The latest models from KIA that might be seeing its day on the roads all over the world is this spy shot of the latest KIA K9 that was shot with its camouflage in streets of South Korea. Apparently we have seen many spy shot like this, being caught so easily without any restriction and without any hint or what, the car suddenly appears as a leaked photo a few weeks after that before its full unveiling.

Well back to this KIA K9, base on the pictures of this car, it looks like a very big saloon car with a large curvy rear combi lamps and also a sexy looking LED turn signal indicator on its side mirrors. What is funny is that, this KIA K9 is actually being equipped with a Hyundai Equus sports rims and I think this is one of KIA ideas to deviate the attention that this model might be a Hyundai model. Going to the side, KIA has design the fenders with an Italian taste by employing a Maserati Quattroporte style fender ports and it looks so handsomely with the side design of the car. Looking at the front, the unmistakably tiger nose grill now spot the design of the grill more prominently with the headlamps is now more angular with a combine design of ala BMW 5 series with a KIA K7. A totally absent minded rally driver!!!

This is one funny video clip is about the antics of a rally driver that is too focus of either catching its nearest challenger or totally absent minded that a rally needs a navigator to navigate their way to the SS stage. Apparently, this rally driver that drive if I’m not mistaken an old Ford Fiesta had skidded and the car stuck on the gravel, with the help of the spectators and also the co-driver, the car was manage to set free but the driver was too focus on winning or struggling not to be the last forgets the co-driver totally until the driver realise from the shout of the spectators that he is forgetting the co-driver. Fiat Group set to unveiled the Alfa Romeo 4c

Looks like the world’s automotive scene will be rocking again with the Geneva Motor Show that will take the centre stage from 3rd of March till 13th of March 2011. Among the cars that will be showcasing is the Alfa Romeo 4c prototype that will eventually make its way to the production line starting in 2012.

The car tub was design by the F1 carbon body supplier Dallara thus it will not be a surprise that Alfa Romeo 4c is going to have carbon tub chassis. Rumours has been circulating that this Alfa 4c body will be mated with 4 cylinder turbocharged 1,750cc engine that scream the whole juice out of it matching the performance of Porsche Cayman S with the price reported going to be lower than the Porsche offering. More details will be known once the car has been unveiled.
