This bizarre accident happens during the Friday practice of Shanghai GP where both front wheels of Sebastian Buemi car seems to detached completely from the front wishbones. What puzzled me was, both wheels came off and spun violently where in the first place there should be some cable that will hold the wheel when any accident happens. This safety cable is a mandatory item to be installed in the F1 cars after a bizarre accident by Raft Schumacher at Melbourne GP few years ago that killed the steward’s instantly after the wheels spun off during an accident.
As you may know, this is the first year the Faenza based company design the car on its own. Previous GP, Torro Rosso shares the same design with it sister F1 car the Red Bull Racing penned by Adrian Newey. Looks like someone will be getting into the hot seats after this horrifying accident and if I may remember, this is the worse technical errors in F1 history.
Well the qualifying yesterday was good, with both Red Bull are on the front rows followed by Alonso on the 3rd place on the grid. Felipe Massa, Alonso partner came in 7th place and the great Micheal Schumacher came in 9th place. Looks like this is the 4th GP in a row Micheal will be starting on the grid well behind his team mate. So guys, don't forget to tune in today at 2.55PM (GMT +8hr) to watch the Shanghai GP. There is a prediction it would be a wet race. I really hope it will be a wet race and things might be very interesting to watch. Maybe a podium finishes for Lotus Racing. Let’s cross our fingers.
