Toyota To Pay $16.4 million In Damages!!

The verdict is out, and the money will keep on pouring out from Toyota's account. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has ordered Toyota to pay $ 16.4 million on damages done by the recent recalls for the slow-to –return and sticky accelerator pedals. Toyota has agreed to this settlement in order to avoid a protracted dispute and possible litigation as well to allow Toyota to move forward and really focus on strengthening the quality assurance of their cars. With the recent recalls that was now affecting the Lexus GX460 SUV, it looks like there will be no ending to this drama and it was sad to see this automotive giant had to succumbed to the harsh reality of the automotive industry.

We have seen this harsh reality before that has taken a toll on Mitsubishi Motors, and also Firestones that really has pinned down to company to the ground. I’m also sad to see that with all the recalls, the blame has been put on the current President of Toyota, Mr Akio Toyoda. I personally think he is a very cool and gentleman person and he have no fear to acknowledge the mistake that has been plaguing the car quality of Toyota car recently. As we all know the blame should be shouldered by the previous top management of Toyota as this problem has been reported involved the models that have been produced under the old management team.
