Looks like the VW Golf GTI will have its rival prowling behind its back in the guise of Peugeot 308 GT THP200 which will be available in the UK this month for £21,995 OTR.
The car will be powered by Peugeot 1.6 Litre turbocharged prince engine with 200 hp THP petrol engine mated to a six speed manual gearbox. This new beast can achieve century sprint in 7.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 225km/h.
This car will have a revised suspension and steering system with bigger brakes to keep the speed in check when the car is in action. Besides that, it will receive a new 18inch alloy wheels shod in 225/40/R18 tires.
To add to its already desired packaging, are a bright black carbon style insert under the front bumper lower skirt, a roof spoiler, twin chrome exhaust pipes and a rear diffuser.
On the inside, there will be a body hugging sports seats, an aluminum foot rest and gear lever knob with leather sport steering wheel furnish with aluminum detailing and as usual a black lacquer front panel fascia.
The car was tested to achieve a Co2 emission of 159g/km with a great fuel economy of 6.9 litres/100km.
To sum up its great packages would be a great body colours. This model will features six different exterior body colour with a choice of Nera Black, Shark Grey, Babylon Red, Ipanema Blue, Aluminum and Bianca White. For the interior, there is only one colour scheme which is Payerne black half leather interior trim.
The new Peugeot 308 GT THP 200 is available in the UK in six different exterior body colours - Bianca White, Nera Black, Aluminium, Shark Grey, Ipanema Blue and Babylon Red, all combined with Payerne black half leather interior trim.
