Recently through my friend who has sent his car for tuning has enlightened me with this company which was based near Glenmarie Shah Alam. The company that I’m talking about is Automotive Performance Development or famously known as APD. For those car enthusiasts who like to tune their cars or well into local motor sport scene, the name APD is not very alien to them as APD is one of the co sponsors of the recent Zerotohundred.com Time To Attack 2 at Sepang which was held nearly two months ago.
So what is basically APD is all about. This company has been around on a very prosperous date according to Chinese believed which is on 8th of August 2008 and the outlet was officially open in May 2009 at Jalan Perintis U1/52 Glenmarie Shah Alam. The company has more than 20 well experience staff with more than 10 years experience in the automotive industry be it motorsport, servicing or tuning, they have the skills for every job that will be offered to them. The staffs have their own unique experience from various industry as they are the expert for japanese car model or continental cars from establish manufactures.
Each staff is will equipped with latest toolset which is in line with the current needs of the industry. Besides that, APD also invested heavily on latest scan tool such as BMW and MINI DIS (Diagnostic and Information System), Sistema Diagnosi ST5 for Lamborghini cars, Sistema Diagnosi SD3 for Ferrari and Meserati cars, Autologic scan tools and Porsche scan tools which is essentially all the needs to service your cars.
Speaking about their facilities, APD has a total of 14 service bays which is enough to cater your servicing needs without the need to wait long for your car to be service. Besides that, APD also equips its staff with various facilities to assist their daily work such as part washing machine, lathe machine, welding machine (MIG, TIG), steel cutter, enclose paint booth, tyre changing machine which can cater to wheels size of 26” and their crown jewel a 4 wheel dyno machine with twin retarders. Speaking of dyno, each dyno run will be price RM150 onwards depends on car models and also the car setup and it is one of the best price for dyno run in town.
Besides that, APD also has been appointed as the authorise dealer for performance parts such as Motec, Unichip, REVO and Miltek enough for the petrol headed to go nuts about bringing up the performance of their cars. Recently, APD also has been appointed as a sole distributor for SKN tuning products, a company based in Germany which is famous for their SKN Eco tuning and SKN Power tuning which I will touch in details in the later blog post.
So for you guys out there which have exotics cars, performance car or even normal road cars, APD is a one stop center for your tuning and servicing needs and they are open from Monday to Saturday at 9.00am till 6.00pm.
