Nissan has temporarily suspended operations of all production facilities in Japan until 16 March 2011. Further decision will be made after that as Nissan continues to assess the extent of damage to its facilities and equipment, as well as parts suppliers.
There is no immediate negative impact to our business as we hold inventory, in both CKD and CBU forms.
Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has pledged to donate 30,000,000 yen to the NGO Japan Platform as initial assistance to areas devastated by “the 2011 Off the Pacific Coast of Tohoku Earthquake”, which occurred at 14:46 on March 11th 2011. Nissan will continue to study how it can further assist with relief efforts after monitoring damages.
