PRESS RELEASE: MAN Truck and Bus Malaysia Handed Three Recovery Trucks To Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad!!!

The strongest and top of the range recovery trucks have been handed over by MAN Truck & Bus Malaysia to Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad (Prasarana) at the RapidBus Cheras Selatan Complex.

Custom built according to the customer’s requirement, the three recovery trucks for RapidKL and RapidPenang, will ensure that the national bus company will no longer depend on outside contractors if any of its buses need to be towed.

MAN Truck & Bus are reknowned world-wide for their adaptability as the MAN Modification Center offers a wide range of conversions according to customer special request (CSR). In Europe, MAN Truck offer three thousand different kinds of basic trucks there that allows for 50,000 options.

The trucks are the most advanced heavy vehicle tow-truck in Malaysia and is also one of the largest. Able to pull up to 90 tons, this TGS 33.400 BB-WW 6X4 are the first ever MAN trucks purchased by Prasarana, which had previously ordered 150 MAN buses for RapidKL.

“MAN’s customers are as diverse as their requirements. That is why, we at MAN, have come up with solutions to meet all these requirements,” said the Managing Director of MAN Truck & Bus (M) Sdn. Bhd. (MTBM), Mr.Hartmut Mueller on the recovery trucks which have been handed over to Datuk Ruhaizah Mohamed Rashid, Rapid Bus Chaiman.

MAN trucks are the preferred choice in the towing and recovery sector being a body-builder friendly chassis. This significantly shortens assembly time and makes it easier for body-builders to make adjustments on the body where needed. Such truck concepts are used in any heavy-duty operations like military or any special vehicles. As such, MAN’s decades of competence in manufacturing towing and recovery vehicles pay off well for customers.

Mr.Mueller added that customers operating in the south will be pleased that MAN Service in Johor Bahru will be operational starting 16th June and MAN plans to open its northern service by year end.

“One of our aims is to give better after-sales service and these centers will greatly ease those operating MAN buses and trucks in the south and north for service and maintenance,” he concluded.
