The global premium carmaker Infiniti today officially announce its latest model to Malaysia to complete its SUV line up with introduction of QX80. The QX80 offers a unique combination of inspired design and performance that makes it stand out in the luxury performance SUV class.
The Infiniti QX80 is conceived to attract and hold viewers' attention, conveying its underlying sense of power and strength. The design is dynamic, its size is gigantic with the capability of transporting eight adults and their belongings with spacious elegance. The signature front double arch and wave pattern grille mirroring the bold style of the popular Q50 sports sedan. The front fascia also features new LED high/low beam headlights that illuminate with Infiniti’s distinct ‘brow-and-eye’ daytime running lights.
Other notable exterior features include body colored front and rear overfenders beautifully integrated with a full length running board, large yet lightweight 22-inch forged aluminum alloy wheels, large stainless rear bumper scuff protector and a power rear liftgate.
The proven 5.6-liter V8 engine combines the responsive acceleration of Infiniti’s VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) technology with the efficiency of Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) to produce 405 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque. The V8 engine is mated to a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission with Adaptive Shift Control (ASC) and manual shift mode with Downshift Rev matching (DRM).
The QX80 is offered with standard four-wheel drive, featuring Infiniti's proven All-Mode 4WD system with Auto, 4H, and 4L modes. The system is designed to distribute torque to all four wheels when road conditions warrant (up to 50 percent can go to the front wheels on demand), helping to enhance traction. When off-road conditions become even more challenging, a multi-mode terrain switch comprising of Snow, Mud and Rock setting changes the engine torque, 4WD and VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control) parameters.

The Hydraulic Body Motion Control system is introduced for the first time ever on a Infiniti vehicle. The system helps reduce body lean while turning, for a more comfortable ride. Utilizing hydraulic cylinders located at the shock absorbers (connected via cross piping and two accumulators), it adjusts roll stiffness by allowing transfer of fluid between the left and right sides of the vehicle through passive weight transfer during normal driving. It also helps reduce bump shock by setting bounce and roll damping forces separately.
The QX80's world-class inner sanctum offers a comfortable space and personal controls for every occupant. Luxurious semi-aniline leather-appointed seating is standard for 8 occupants to divulge. Climate-controlled (heating and cooling functions) front seats are standard as well as heated 2nd row seats. The 2nd row 60/40 split with remote release switches offer tip-up function for easy 3rd row entry/exit. The 3rd row seat is a 60/40-split power folding design with reclining capability, allowing passengers to adjust their seating position electronically.
The QX80 offers advanced entertainment and audio system. The Bose Cabin Surround sound system with 5.1-encoding, 15-speakers, single in-dash DVD/CD player with MP3 playback capability, USB connection port for use with iPod® Interface or other compatible devices and Streaming Audio via Bluetooth®. It also includes an 8-inch high resolution color touch-screen display, dual 7-inch color headrest monitors, two pairs of wireless headphones, wireless remote control. The system allows playback of games or movies in the rear, while front occupants listen to audio all at the same time. The two 7-inch color monitors include an auto-bright system that adjusts for daytime, clouds/evening and night/tunnel lighting.

Finishing the look of the QX80 are four exterior colours to choose from – Majestic White, Graphite Shadow, Dark Currant and Black Obsidian. Interior color comes in graphite leather-appointed seating with Stratford Burl trim.
