PRESS RELEASE: Tenaga Nasional Took Deliver Of 100 Units Of Toyota Hilux


The ever reliable and durable value for money Toyota Hilux are ready to roll when Tenaga Nasional Berhad took delivery of 100 units of the vehicle recently. The handing over of keys was done by Encik Mohd Shamsor Mohd Zain, Director of Operation Support Group, UMW Toyota Motor to Encik Mohd Adibi bin Ambak, Senior General Manager, Department of Procurement and Vendor Management Distribution Division, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) at a delivery ceremony held at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS), Selangor. 

In his speech, Encik Mohd Shamsor said, “I am very honored as in a short while; we will witness the handing over of 100 units of Toyota Hilux to Tenaga Nasional Berhad and the balance 192 units will be delivered by stages. Thank you for choosing Toyota Hilux and for the continuous strong support you have in UMW Toyota Motor”. 

“Tenaga Nasional Berhad is the largest Electric utility company in Malaysia and also the largest power company in Southeast Asia. TNB's core activities are in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity. The demand of their day-to-day business operations depend highly on reliable and durable vehicles. Hence, we are sure the Toyota Hilux we supplied met the quality, reliability and specifications required by TNB”, he added. 

The Toyota Hilux is undoubtedly Malaysia’s best-selling pick-up truck with over 180,000 units of the current generation sold since its introduction in 2005. Its continued position as the market leader in its segment with close to 50% market share is not only due to the advanced and tough appearance but more importantly, a globally proven record of reliability and durability for over 40 years. 

As part of the company’s commitment to serve customers better, UMW Toyota Motor will continue to support Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) as a valued corporate customer and provide all their needs which include the dedicated after-sales service, timely vehicle delivery and technical training. Tenaga Nasional Berhad has placed a booking of 292 units of Toyota Hilux and these vehicles are expected to be delivered by batches through UMW Toyota Motor.
