PRESS RELEASE: New Mitsubishi 3S Centre Opens In Bayan Lepas


EON Auto Mart Sdn Bhd (EON Auto Mart), a member of the DRB-HICOM Group of companies, and Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia today officially launched the new Mitsubishi 3S Centre in Bayan Lepas. This is part of the company’s efforts to provide top notch services for Mitsubishi’s owners in and around Bayan Lepas and the greater Penang region. 

Operational since December 2016, the Bayan Lepas 3S centre is a relocation of Mitsubishi’s 3S centre, previously located in Bukit Mertajam. Strategically located at Penang’s Free Industrial Zone and 20 minutes away from Georgetown, the Bayan Lepas 3S centre is expected to cater to the needs of the growing customer base better, as well as take advantage of the booming industrial zone and new residential townships in the area. 

Covering a total built-up area of 1,199 square meters, the Mitsubishi 3S Centre has six service bays, a washing bay and a reception area. Additionally, the centre features a showroom that is able to showcase five vehicles and a customer lounge equipped with Wi-Fi, where light refreshments will be served for the convenience of customers. 

Fully equipped with diagnostic tools and Special Set Tools (SST) certified by Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia, the centre is manned by a 20-member team of highly trained and experienced after sales staffs, service advisors, technicians and consultants to provide the best care for Mitsubishi vehicles including general service and major repairs. 


The grand opening of the new 3S Centre was officiated by Mr Tomoyuki Shinnishi, Chief Executive Officer of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia and Encik Rohime Shafie, Head of Automotive Distribution, and Manufacturing & Engineering Division, DRB-HICOM Berhad.

“This relocation offers huge potential for future growth of the Mitsubishi brand. This is testament that we are working on improving our sales and after sales network. Our customers are our top priority and Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia will continue to work closely with EON Auto Mart to ensure constant improvement towards the overall ownership experience of our vehicles,” said Tomoyuki.

Rohime underlined the importance of customer satisfaction, and believes that customers deserve top quality service throughout their entire ownership experience with the Mitsubishi brand.

“EON Auto Mart invested RM600k towards the 3S Centre, on Mitsubishi’s approved equipment, after sales, training and staff acquisition. It is a show of our commitment in providing top quality service and satisfying consumer experience,” concluded Rohime.

The Mitsubishi Bayan Lepas 3S centre operates from Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:45pm, and on weekends and public holidays from 10:00am to 5:00pm for its showroom. Aftersales services are available only from Monday to Saturday from 8.30am to 5:30pm, and closed on Sundays and public holidays. The centre also provides shuttle service for Mitsubishi customers within a 5km radius.
